Looking forward to some park life at BSc 2023

With a couple of days to go, we thought now would be the time to have a look at a few of the exhibitors and what they will be showing at BSc 2023

CARTONI designs, will be taking a prime position at the show demonstrating their latest products for the Film and TV sector, Cartoni manufactures and markets highly professional support hardware and systems for the motion picture and television industries. With a variety of 23 different fluid heads calibrated in capacity and performance for every shooting need, CARTONI provides the widest range of fluid camera support heads on the market.

Atomos will be introducing C2C (camera to cloud) capabilities for Zato CONNECT, the entry-level 5-inch, network-connected monitor/recorder. With Zato CONNECT, users can stream directly to Facebook Live, Twitch or YouTube without the need for a PC or laptop to do the encoding.

Atomos’ award-winning CONNECT range of network-enabled monitor/recorder devices includes Zato CONNECT, ATOMOS CONNECT for Ninja V and Ninja V+, and Shogun CONNECT. Used with Adobe’s C2C workflow, powered by Frame.io, they allow footage to be shared from set to off-site editors, quickly and easily. Atomos will be with Holdan on Stand 127

(X2X) CODEX / PIX – Exhibiting on stand 405 CODEX and PIX will be presenting their comprehensive ‘Camera-to-Cloud’ workflow and toolset at this year’s BSC Expo in London. PIX partners with Teradek to provide camera-to-cloud workflows with live video playback, integrating the Teradek Serv 4K capturing colour-accurate H.264/H.265 proxy files that upload directly to PIX for immediate review and are shared securely beyond the set.

A CODEX Compact Drive containing the Original Camera Files (OCF) from an ALEXA Mini LF/35 is backed up to CODEX Transfer Drive, applying High-Density Encoding at the point of offload to significantly reduce the data size while retaining full original image quality and information. The Transfer Drive is moved to CODEX MediaVault Edge, where further copies can be made and once secure, the OCF is pushed up to CODEX Cloud giving all departments access to the OCF worldwide.

Cooke’s new Varotal/i FF 19-40mm wide zoom lens, which joins the 30-95mm medium and 85-215mm long zooms to complete the Varotal/i series, will be the main focus at this year’s BSC expo. In addition, Cooke will have a selection of lenses from Panchro/i Classic, Macro/i and Anamorphic/i series available to view on request as well as the state-of-the-art S8/i FF, the flagship Cooke prime lens series.

Technical Solutions Manager for EMEA, Lanz Short, will be at CVP’s Virtual Production showcase presenting disguise’s latest technology to support VP. From disguise’s end-to-end cloud collaboration solution for M&E productions; to Porta 2.0, the cloud-native control system for Unreal Engine graphics; to the soon-to-be-released video playback and mapping solution for LBXs EX 3.

The Show opens its doors to the public on Friday morning and runs for 2 days.
