CVP, one of Europe’s leading providers of professional video and broadcast solutions, is pleased to announce that it will exhibit at the Media Production & Technology Show (MPTS) for the first time when it takes place at Olympia London on 10th-11th May. Visitors to CVP’s showcase on Stand F65 will find an array of solutions from top manufacturers, highlighting the breadth of CVP’s well-regarded technical expertise and the sheer range of services it provides to the film and TV production industry.
With large format cinematography and broadcast workflows becoming ever more closely aligned, CVP is presenting solutions for a range of budgets that allow broadcast and studio productions to integrate cine cameras into their workflow. MPTS visitors will be able to demo the latest and most popular cameras rigged in various configurations, including cine-style cameras such as ARRI’s ALEXA 35; Canon’s C70; RED KOMODO; Sony’s FX9 and FX6 on DJI RS3; as well as Blackmagic’s Studio Camera 6K PRO and its ATEM Production Studio switcher, perfect for live production.
Visitors will also be able to explore how IP can improve live production and broadcast workflows, enabling more control and flexibility and maximising productivity, in CVP’s NDI station. Powered by NewTek Tricaster Mini 4K and featuring the latest PTZ cameras – including Canon’s N700, Panasonic’s UE160, Sony’s FR7 and BirdDog’s P4K –, this display explores the management of multi-vendor solutions via one NDI master controller, allowing operators to mix and match different camera configurations to construct workflows that suit their individual needs.
Elsewhere, with interest in Virtual Production rapidly growing, CVP has partnered with LED manufacturer INFiLED (Stand M65) to showcase solutions based around the RED V-RAPTOR XL 8K VV workflow. This will provide visitors with a fantastic opportunity to witness the resulting unique one-camera setup featuring the RED V-RAPTOR XL 8K VV, Ncam MK2 tracking system, and content powered by disguise and Epic Games. The system is mounted on a Kessler motorised slider that maintains constant parallax with the content being displayed on the INFiLED DB2.6-VSS wall.
CVP’s Technical Consultants will be present at both CVP’s stand, F75, and INFiLED’s stand, M65, to answer any specific inquiries and provide advice for designing and delivering the best Virtual Production workflow for a wide range of applications.
Besides being able to lean into the wealth of agnostic knowledge and the expertise of CVP’s technicians on the show floor, visitors to MPTS should also check the company’s panels, such as “Influencing Young Filmmakers”, organised in partnership with Canon and hosted on the 10th of May at 5:30 pm. In it, British television presenter Alex Zane will join CVP’s Technical Marketing Manager, Jake Ratcliffe, and filmmaker Ollie Kenchington to discuss their recent experiences being part of the judging panel for Stories in Motion, a new film competition from Canon and CVP created to highlight the importance of young filmmakers in this ever-evolving industry.
CVP and its wide network of industry experts is also behind a series of must-watch panels at MPTS, including “Women Behind the Camera”, “Building a Career as a Focus Puller” and “Budget Filmmaking with a High-End finish”.
